Matt Johnson joined us in 1996 after college, where he immediately became our 1st ASC Certified Technician. In 2016 he became our CEO and had always loved working with his hands and helping people. It’s only natural that Matt became our fearless leader. He is a strong, kind, and honest person who works hard to provide and care for our customers. He brings empathy, leadership, and clear communication skills to the shop. Automobile maintenance is the process of keeping your car working properly over its lifetime. It includes things like oil changes, tire rotations, and replacing belts. All of these things keep your vehicle running smoothly so that it doesn’t break down when you need it most.
The best way to ensure that your car lasts for years is by doing proper maintenance on a regular basis. If you don’t take care of your car, it won’t take care of you when you need it most!
All vehicles need regular maintenance to run at peak performance. Some maintenance items are more important than others, depending on how often the vehicle is used (how many miles per year). The following maintenance schedule should be followed according to how many miles you drive per year:
0-5000 miles per year: oil changes every 3 months, tune-ups every 6 months
5001-10000 miles per year: oil changes every 4 months, tune-ups every 5 months
10001+ miles per year: oil changes every 5 months, tune-ups every 4 months
Please note that these times are only estimates; if your vehicle shows signs of needing an oil change or a tune-up sooner than what’s listed above, then, by all means, do so! Also, note that this list does not include other standard maintenance items like replacing spark plugs or replacing brake pads — those items will vary based on individual vehicle use.
If your car is starting to feel sluggish, or if it’s making strange noises when you drive it, then it might be time for a tune up. A tune up involves replacing some of the parts in your engine, like the spark plugs or the oil filter. It will make your car run much smoother and quieter than before!
A good rule of thumb is that if your car has over 60,000 miles, you should probably get a tune-up soon! But always check with an expert first just to be sure.
These are some things you should do to prepare your car for winter 🚗 Check fluid levels (antifreeze and windshield wiper fluid) 🚗 Have enough snow tires with good tread 🚗 Have wiper fluid 🚗 Have an emergency kit in case you get stuck somewhere
Check Your Tire Pressure – Keep an eye on those tires and ensure they’re adequately inflated! Underinflated tires can increase gas consumption, decrease fuel efficiency, and make the ride bumpier.
Keep A Full Tank Of Gas – Be mindful of how much gas you use! You want enough gas, so you’re not running out on a busy freeway or dirt road far from any station.
Add An Auxiliary Battery – If you are away from power outlets for an extended period, keep an auxiliary battery charged so you can keep your electronics running at all times.
Ensure Vehicle Is Properly Maintained – Visiting an auto service center is the best way to prepare a vehicle before a road trip. Check Your Car’s Coolant – Regularly check coolant levels to ensure they’re not running low. If they are, fill up before continuing on your trip. Make Sure You Have Enough Gas – Pack a gas can or reserve a fill-up if you don’t think you’ll make it to the next exit.
Your brakes are one of the most important parts of your car because they keep you safe when you’re driving. If your brakes aren’t working properly, it could be dangerous. A brake job involves replacing worn-out parts like pads or rotors with new ones so that your car stops quickly and safely.
A brake job will probably cost between $250-$700 depending on how much work needs to be done on them. It’s best to get them checked every few months or so because problems can develop quickly if they’re not taken care of regularly!
The check engine light means something isn’t working properly. Figure out why you’re having trouble with your car before you get stranded. – Book an appointment without driving around town – Clear up hurdles before you run into them again
Incorrect tire pressure, along with rough roads and hard driving (i.e., curb checks), can easily cause tire damage. Also, warn tires can lead to blowouts.
Increased traction – Whether you’re driving a Honda Civic or a Ford Expedition, increased traction means increased safety. Reduced accidents – Every inch counts when trying to avoid skidding or losing control on slick or wet roads.

When a timing belt fails, repairs require major surgery on the car’s engine – often costing over $2,000 dollars.
If you see any cracks in the belt or hose, then it’s time to get new ones.
You will need to replace your belts and hoses when they are old or worn out.
Belt – It’s time to replace your belt when it starts making weird noises or if you start feeling jerky movements in the steering wheel. Hose – Your hose will eventually get too old and stop working properly, so you’ll have to replace it with a new one.
